The 2026 SHEIN Women’s Football Awards celebrated the very best in women’s football last night bringing together leading players, pioneers, and organisations for a landmark evening that reflected the sport’s continued growth and influence across the UK and beyond.

The fourth annual event was hosted by broadcasting icon Gabby Logan alongside football legend Jamie Carragher and once again delivered a powerful showcase of excellence both on and off the pitch. The event attracted a star-studded audience, with celebrity fans including Carol Vorderman, Gok Wan and Denise Van Outen in attendance, while England international Jordan Henderson was also present to show his support for the women’s game.

The night’s top honour, Player of the Year, was awarded to Manchester City’s Bunny Shaw. Emerging leadership and talent were also recognised, with Manchester United’s Maya Le Tissier named Young Player of the Year following a standout campaign that confirmed her status as one of the game’s brightest stars. Arsenal star Michelle Agyemang was honoured with the Metro’s Rising Star Award, highlighting her rapid rise and exciting future in the sport.

Off the pitch, the awards spotlighted the individuals and organisations driving the game forward. Bethany England was named Inspirational Role Model, while Match Of The Day presenter Kelly Cates was recognised as Media Figure of the Year.

Leading brands and institutions were recognised for their role in supporting the game’s growth. Adobe was awarded Brand of the Year, while Adidas received the Global Impact Award. Chelsea Football Club claimed Best Marketing Campaign, the Premier League was honoured for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility, and Liverpool Football Club received the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award.

Manchester City were crowned Club of the Year following an exceptional season, while London City Lionesses were recognised for Best Fan Engagement. Goals4Girls received the Community Impact Award, underlining the importance of grassroots initiatives in expanding access to the sport.

A number of individuals were also honoured for their lasting contributions. Nikita Parris received the Game Changer award, Debbie Hewitt MBE was named Women’s Football Champion, and Mo Marley was presented with the Lifetime Achievement award. Eartha Pond was recognised as Unsung Hero, while Rachel Pavlou received the Off The Pitch Award.

One of the evening’s most poignant moments came with a Special Tribute to Matt Beard, recognising his enduring impact on the women’s game. Special Recognition awards were also presented to Charlotte O’Neill, Maria Karlsson de Cecco, Orreco, and Manchester Corinthians.

The Women’s Football Awards honoured Manchester Corinthians extraordinary role in shaping the early landscape of women’s football. Renowned for their pioneering international tours and commitment to keeping the women’s game alive during decades of restriction, the Corinthians helped lay vital foundations for the sport’s modern growth. Their legacy has recently been brought back into focus through a documentary exploring their global impact and enduring influence.

Women’s Football Awards host Gabby Logan said:

“The Women’s Football Awards is an incredible event. The stories we celebrated reflect a game that is evolving at an incredible pace. From world-class performances to the work happening behind the scenes, every winner represents progress, ambition, and belief in what women’s football can become.”

Co-host Jamie Carragher added:

“This was another brilliant night that showed just how far the women’s game has come. The quality across every category was outstanding, and it’s clear the growth of the sport isn’t slowing down any time soon.”

Charlotte Anthony, Head of Brand Experience at SHEIN UK, said:

“This is our fourth year as headline partner of the Women’s Football Awards, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. It was another amazing celebration, from grassroots greatness right through to the sport’s highest level.

We’re deeply committed to creating more opportunities for women and girls – not just in football, but in every space where talent and ambition deserve to be seen and supported. This partnership also follows the support we’ve given to grassroots girls’ clubs around the country with investment in resources to help local clubs thrive.

“The stories we hear at the Women’s Football Awards, of resilience, progress and excellence, are exactly why that commitment matters. It is such an uplifting evening that we’re honoured to be part of.”
